Controls/SCADA Engineer

Summary

This motivated team player will possess the ability to produce project documentation for control systems for the water and wastewater industry. Primary job duties will involve interpreting Specifications and Plans to prepare technical project documentation to include: System Architecture, Instrumentation Submittals, PLC / Control Panel Design, Testing/Startup Procedures, Training Plans, and O&M manuals for these systems. Five years or more experience preferred.

Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Project Plans and Specifications

  • Superior working knowledge of:​​

    • PLC’s and programming techniques

    • Control Panel equipment and design using AutoCAD

    • Process Instrumentation (Level, Flow, and Analytical)

    • MS Office suite

  • HMI operating systems and relational databases

  • Communications/Network equipment and protocols

  • Experience in the design and commissioning of SCADA Control systems

  • Strong technical and functional skills and the ability to organize and track multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Self-motivated individual – able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Team oriented, flexible and willing to assist in other technical disciplines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for communication with a diversified user community and outside vendors

  • Able to provide “concept to completion” engineering support and direction

  • Some travel WILL be required based on project assignments
